1. The retinal migraines are monocular:

Though the disease i.e. retinal migraine is a very devastating one, you can get at least little bit relief on knowing that this disease affects mostly only one eye. All the problems occur in only one eye and the other eye is spared.

2. Visual disturbances:

If it is something about eyes, then visual disturbances are the first things that come into mind. And this is also correct. Visual disturbances are one of the Signs of Retinal Migraine. Visual disturbances like scintillations, seeing flashes of light and temporary loss of sight are some of the symptoms of retinal migraines.

3. The damage caused by retinal migraine can be temporary:

Again, this point will calm you down. The damage caused by retinal migraine, no matter how devastating was it, can be reversible. People often complaint of losing and again getting back their eye sight and this is the only relief in this disease.

4. Headaches:

If it is migraine then headaches are to be in picture, for sure. Retinal migraine may or may not be accompanied by headaches. The intensity and duration of headaches vary from 4-5 hours to 3-4 days. The retinal migraine has headaches which are often similar to other forms of migraine i.e. headaches are often unilateral and pulsating.
